Having spent an inordinate amount of time searching for the original of this, I'm posting it to cast a vote with teh Googles:

Thanks for digging this one out.
The one I'm looking for and can't find is where I said "Democracy, I love it. Maybe it can work again" and Avedon just replied "(fingers crossed)".
